JES MINARDI

Known as a contemporary Hudson River School painter, Jes Minardi has been inspired by the landscape of her childhood. Raised in rural Garrison, New York, which is nestled along the banks of the Hudson River, Jes would hike the wooded hills with her siblings and friends. Those images remembered are inherent in the artist and her work. Her father, Frank Minardi, a painter inspired by the Old Masters, the Ashcan School, the Renaissance artists, and the Impressionists, shared his appreciation and knowledge of the Fine Arts with his daughter, and patiently trained her in the academics.
